The Zulu Royal Household has dismissed social media reports claiming that AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has been hospitalised and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
Prince Thulani Zulu, speaking on behalf of the Royal Household, said the reports were false and confirmed that the King had only attended routine medical check-ups with his physician.
According to Prince Zulu, the monarch remains in good health and continues to carry out both his personal and official duties without interruption.
Zulu Royal Household Responds To Viral ICU Claims
Prince Zulu urged members of the public and content creators to verify information before circulating unconfirmed reports online.
“I note with concerns the false reports circulating on social media and on social platforms alleging that His Majesty has been rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU. We wish to state categorically that these reports are untrue and His Majesty has visited his physician for routine medical checkup.”
The statement comes after speculation spread widely across social media platforms regarding the King’s health status.
King Misuzulu Continues Official Duties As Normal
Prince Zulu reiterated that King Misuzulu remains active and continues with his day-to-day responsibilities.
“The King is in good health and he continues with his personal and official duties as normal. We appeal to the Zulu nation and all well-wishers to remain calm and disregard these malicious falsehood,” explains Prince Zulu.
