March and March has criticised President Cyril Ramaphosa for apologising to Southern African Development Community (SADC) leaders over recent anti-illegal immigration activities in South Africa.

Ramaphosa told regional leaders on Saturday that he was ashamed of recent attacks on foreign nationals living in the country. The organisation said there was nothing to apologise for.

March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma said there was no reason for the president to apologise. The organisation handed a memorandum to police for delivery to SADC leaders. The memorandum calls on neighbouring countries to take back citizens who are living in South Africa without the required documentation.
