To commemorate its upcoming slate of animated shows, Netflix hosted a virtual event called DROP 01. The show was a veritable feast of previews and announcements for animation aficionados, especially those who enjoy video game adaptations (all of us).

It all started with a global broadcast of the first three episodes of Castlevania: Nocturne ahead of the formal premiere later today.

The hits kept coming after that. We already knew that an anime based on the popular gaming series Devil May Cry was in the works, and now we have a trailer.

There is no release date other than “coming soon,” but the show is produced by Capcom and animated by Studio Mir, the same people behind The Legend of Korra, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, and The Witcher: Nightmare of the White Witch.

Sonic Prime is returning for Season 3, and there’s a trailer to prove it. The new episodes focus on the aftermath of Chapter 2 as the quick hedgehog battles Nine Tails for the fate of the entire Green Hill Zone. Netflix is now making games and has released a trailer for the connected mobile title Sonic Prime Dash.

The news of a Tomb Raider animated series nearly three years ago left fans wondering if the project would vanish into vaporware heaven. Don’t be concerned. It’s real, and it’s on its way.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is a collaboration between Crystal Dynamics and media powerhouse Legendary Television. Powerhouse Animation, the studio behind Castlevania and Masters of the Universe, is creating it. This one doesn’t have a release date yet, but it looks cool.

Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix isn’t a video game adaptation, but it is inspired by the universe of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. As a result, Ubisoft is on board, as is Adi Shankar, Netflix’s animation wunderkind.

Through and through, this is a cyberpunk show, with the unique inclusion of Ubisoft mascot Rayman. The series will be released on October 19.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will hit theaters on November 17, so we won’t have to wait too long. To get fans excited, Netflix released a sneak peek featuring an actual scene from the show.

The eight-episode series reunites the film’s entire cast, including Michael Cera, Brie Larson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, and Aubrey Plaza.

It wasn’t all based on video games. Netflix also debuted trailers for Blue Eye Samurai, a new season of Masters of the Universe: Revolution, and PLUTO, a series based on Astro Boy. In the next months, be ready to go cartoon crazy.
