After spending some time away from regular appearances on the small screen, Simphiwe Ngema is making a highly anticipated return to acting.
The accomplished actress has secured a leading role in KUNINGI, an upcoming Mzansi Magic drama series set to premiere later this month.
The new production centres on a single mother whose life changes dramatically when she is presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, only to be confronted by unresolved issues from her past.

Although Ngema has not yet revealed details about the character she will portray, fans are already looking forward to seeing her back in a major television role.
She joins an impressive ensemble cast that includes Samkelo Ndlovu, Kay Sibiya, Andy Mguni, Ratanang Mogotsi and Siyamthanda Nxumalo.

Simphiwe Ngema’s Acting Journey From Muvhango To KUNINGI
Ngema began her acting career in 2008 when she appeared in the stage production The Game. She portrayed Pretty Khumalo, a sex worker imprisoned for the murder of her father.
Following the production, she completed her journalism studies and graduated in 2010.
In 2011, she joined the cast of Muvhango as Thuli Nkosi, a role she played until June 2015.
Simphiwe Ngema’s Notable Television And Film Roles
Over the years, Ngema has built an impressive body of work across theatre, television and film.
Her credits include stage productions such as Sheila’s Day and Qaphela, as well as the 2015 feature film Droplets.
She also portrayed Noni Ndlovu, a mentally ill self-proclaimed psychologist, in Mzansi Magic’s Greed and Desire.
