It has been a violent start to the weekend in the Western Cape after seven people were killed in separate shooting incidents in Khayamandi, Stellenbosch.
Police confirmed that a manhunt is underway for suspects believed to be linked to the deadly attacks.
In one of the incidents, a 46-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by three armed suspects shortly after arriving home from work on Friday evening.
Western Cape Police Investigate Multiple Khayamandi Shootings
Authorities said three additional victims were discovered with gunshot wounds at their homes in two separate shooting scenes reported in the area.
The incidents have since been handed over to provincial serious violent crime detectives for further investigation.

Western Cape police spokesperson Novela Potelwa said investigators are working to establish the motive behind the killings and whether the shootings are connected.
“The motive for the shooting incidents is the subject to the police investigation currently underway; detectives are also probing whether the incidents are linked or not. No arrests have been made,” Potelwa said.
Khayamandi Community Reels After Deadly Weekend Violence
The latest violence has once again placed the spotlight on ongoing gun-related crimes in parts of the Western Cape, with residents in Khayamandi left shaken by the deadly incidents.
Police investigations remain ongoing as officers continue searching for those responsible.
