Tragedy struck outside the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg, as two individuals were shot dead in what appears to be a targeted attack. The incident took place on Wednesday morning, leaving the community in shock and the police in search of answers.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo, the motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.
He said, “Police have opened a case of murder and are actively searching for the suspects after a male and female were shot and killed outside the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 08 November, at approximately 07h00.”

Eye-witnesses reported that the victims, who remain unidentified at this stage, were walking towards the courthouse when they were approached by the suspect who opened fire. The assailant reportedly fled the scene in a black Mercedes Benz.
