A Durban businessman facing charges of human trafficking, kidnapping and sexual assault is expected to continue his bail application at the local magistrate’s court on Tuesday.

The State is opposing his application for bail, with prosecutors linking the charges to a raid conducted at a property in Durban North in 2022.

The court has also imposed a temporary ban on the publication of the businessman’s identity until he enters a plea.
