Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, has filed a petition to establish a parental relationship with her ex-partner Elon Musk in a California court.

The couple, who began dating in 2018 and had an on-again, off-again relationship, welcomed three children together.

Their firstborn, a son named X Æ A-Xii, was born in May 2020. Then, in December 2021, they quietly welcomed a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl.

Recently, it was revealed that they also have a third child, a boy named Techno Mechanicus, affectionately known as Tau. However, it is unclear when Tau was born.

Grimes’ petition comes after she pleaded on Twitter for Musk to allow her to see their son. In a since-deleted tweet, she expressed her frustration at not being able to see her children, despite the situation tearing her family apart.

However, it seems that Grimes and Musk are now attempting to resolve their differences. Grimes explained on Twitter that she had spoken with Shivon Zilis, Musk’s ex-partner and the mother of his twins, in an effort to de-escalate the situation.

Zilis responded positively, saying that it all ended up for the best.

As of now, Elon Musk has not responded to Grimes’ petition, and she has not requested child support or custody rights. The court filings have been sealed, so the details of the case are not available to the public.
