Nqobani Zuke, known for his role as Simba in Hong Kong’s internationally acclaimed The Lion King production, has officially picked a life partner, Nokwethemba Cele.
Zuke, 29, from Groutville, KZN, married his long-term partner, Nokwethemba Cele of Umlazi, in a stunning wedding that was held on Saturday, November 9.
Zuke, who has been playing the lead part in the classic musical since May, revealed that he returned to South Africa from Hong Kong on November 1 specifically to marry Cele.
The ‘Lion King’ actor stated that he will be returning to Hong Kong with his wife to resume duty as soon as November 12.

“We’ve been together for about a year and a half, and I knew she was the one. I need her by my side, so I made the decision to marry her and make our commitment official,” Zuke said about Cele.
Cele is hopeful of God’s blessing as they both continue their life journey together in Hong Kong. He said, “Since I’ll be continuing my work in Hong Kong, I wanted her to be with me as my wife. I pray that God blesses our marriage.”

Nqobani left South Africa on May 20 to join the Lion King cast in Hong Kong after signing a six-month contract with Disney World. Now, he is returning to Hong Kong with his wife, beginning a new chapter in both his personal and professional life.
