Jayden Adams, the talented midfielder from Stellenbosch FC, has been making waves in the South African football scene. With his brilliant displays and impressive performances, Adams has established himself as one of the top midfielders in the country.
His skills have not gone unnoticed, as he was recently included in the Bafana Bafana squad that finished third at the 2023 AFCON finals in Ivory Coast.
Stellenbosch FC confirmed the interest of Mamelodi Sundowns in Adams, but the ambitious midfielder has set his sights on a move to the Premier League giants, Liverpool.

In an interview, Adams expressed his desire to play in Europe and specifically mentioned Liverpool as his dream team. “That’s my big-time goal,” he said through his agency, ForwardZone Group.
Adams’ agent, Ashley Kotzin, also spoke highly of his client’s abilities, stating, “He’s got a technical ability where he can do things other players can’t, and I think Jayden possesses the kind of talent that’s certainly good enough for the European stages.”
This season, Jayden Adams has been the most creative player in the PSL, providing six assists from 22 matches for Stellenbosch FC. His performances have caught the attention of football enthusiasts and scouts alike.
However, to attract interest from Liverpool, Adams will need to maintain his eye-catching displays and establish himself as a regular in the Bafana Bafana squad.
Adams, a product of the Ajax Cape Town academy, signed a new long-term contract with Stellenbosch FC in December last year, making him one of the club’s most prized assets.
Any potential suitors, including Mamelodi Sundowns, will have to make a significant financial offer to pry him away from the Western Cape side in the upcoming PSL transfer window.
While Adams dreams of a move to Liverpool, he remains focused on his current responsibilities with Stellenbosch FC. Alongside his teammates, he is currently preparing for an important PSL encounter against Moroka Swallows.
A victory in this match would not only solidify Stellenbosch’s position in second place on the league standings but also secure their qualification for the CAF Champions League, a historic achievement for the club.
Finishing behind the already-crowned champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, would open the door for Stellenbosch FC to compete in the prestigious continental competition next season. Adams’ performances will be crucial in achieving this goal and attracting further attention from European clubs like Liverpool.
