The Democratic Alliance (DA) is preparing to unveil its national election manifesto in Pretoria this Saturday, with an estimated attendance of over 15,000 supporters. The event will commence with a march from Church Square to the Union Buildings, followed by party leader John Steenhuisen delivering the party’s key commitments.

He stated, “This march is not just about the manifesto, but a reflection of the DA’s readiness to enter the Union Buildings. We anticipate the largest event in the party’s history, showcasing that the DA is more than prepared.”

DA chief whip Siviwe Gwarube echoed Nyati’s sentiments, emphasizing the need for an alternative to the ANC’s governance. Gwarube stated, “We firmly believe that South Africa cannot afford another five years under the ANC’s leadership. We urgently require an alternative, and we have identified a clear path to victory.”

In the lead-up to the event, open-top buses adorned with DA branding were visible on the streets of the capital, inviting people to join the march. Additionally, numerous private security personnel and marshals were deployed throughout the Central Business District to ensure a safe and organized event.

The DA’s election manifesto launch is a significant milestone for the party, showcasing its growth and determination to provide an alternative to the ANC’s governance.

With thousands of supporters expected to attend, this event marks a crucial moment in the DA’s history as it strives to secure victory and bring about change for the benefit of all South Africans.
