Western Cape police are currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday night in Eerste River. A 29-year-old man was shot and killed while waiting for food at a local petrol station. The incident took place at the corner of Blue Downs Way and Forest Drive.
According to police reports, the deceased was approached by unknown gunmen who fired multiple shots at him. He was declared dead at the scene.
The suspects fled immediately after the shooting and have yet to be apprehended. The police spokesperson, FC Van Wyk, stated, “The motive for this incident forms part of ongoing investigations.”

The police are actively pursuing leads to identify and arrest the perpetrators. They have urged anyone with information regarding this fatal shooting to come forward.
