The trial of Tiffany Meek, who is accused of murdering her 11-year-old son Jayden-Lee, has been postponed again in the Johannesburg High Court.
The latest delay followed an in-loco inspection at Swazi Place apartment complex in Fleurhof on Wednesday, where Meek and her son lived before his death.
The judge, legal representatives and other officials visited the complex as part of proceedings in the case.
Court Inspects Fleurhof Complex In Jayden-Lee Murder Case
The inspection was not filmed by the court, but police photographers and other personnel were present to document the scene.
The photographs will form part of the evidence to be placed on the court record during the trial.
Meek and her legal counsel returned to court before midday, where the judge explained the reason for the further postponement.
The photographs taken during the inspection need to be printed and compiled into an album before being handed to the court.
However, the police officer responsible for compiling the album will only be available next Friday.

Legal counsel agreed that the matter should be postponed until the photographic album is available.

The album will allow Meek, her legal representatives and witnesses who testify during the trial to refer directly to the photographs when giving evidence.
The matter has now been postponed until Monday, 14 September.
Meek has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, child abuse, defeating the ends of justice and crimen injuria relating to her son’s death.
What Happened To Jayden-Lee?
Jayden-Lee was reported missing on 13 May 2025 after he apparently failed to return home from school.
His body was discovered the following day near a staircase at the Swazi Place complex, only metres from the front door of the family home.
The 11-year-old was found lifeless and half-naked.

Meek was arrested about a month later and has remained in custody after her bail application was unsuccessful.
The case will return to the Johannesburg High Court on 14 September, when the photographic album from Wednesday’s inspection is expected to be available for use during the proceedings.
