Ten suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Kago Moshole, whose body was discovered next to the N14 near Ganhaai Village on Monday, 24 August 2026. The N14 murder investigation led Mothibistad SAPS detectives to nine men and one woman. Police also linked the suspects to separate allegations of kidnapping and attempted murder.
The suspects were arrested following an investigation by Mothibistad SAPS detectives, with assistance from members of the Kuruman K9 Unit. The woman is 35 years old, while the nine male suspects are between 30 and 40. Police said nine of those arrested are from Kagung and the other suspect is from Ganhaai.
A Toyota GD-6 was also confiscated during the operation. Police allege that the vehicle was used in the commission of the crime. The investigation remains under way and further arrests have not been ruled out.
N14 Murder Investigation Leads To Ten Arrests
The N14 murder investigation began after Moshole’s body was found alongside the road near Ganhaai Village. Detectives subsequently followed information that led to the arrests of the ten suspects. Police said the operation involved coordinated work between investigators and the Kuruman K9 Unit.
The suspects are also being held in connection with allegations of kidnapping and attempted murder. Police said another person was allegedly assaulted during the incident and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the murder and the other alleged offences remain the subject of an ongoing police investigation. Investigators are working to establish what happened before Moshole’s death and determine the roles allegedly played by those arrested.
Police Seize Toyota GD-6 In N14 Murder Case
The N14 murder case has also resulted in police confiscating a Toyota GD-6 believed to have been used during the alleged commission of the crime. The vehicle was seized as detectives continued gathering evidence. The arrests followed an intensive investigation by Mothibistad SAPS.
Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Kenneth Baloyi praised members of the community who provided information to investigators. He also commended the police officers and other role-players involved in the operation.
Baloyi said the cooperation between those involved contributed to the progress of the investigation and the arrests. Police have continued with their enquiries as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case.

The N14 murder suspects are also being detained in connection with kidnapping and attempted murder. Police said the investigation is continuing and additional arrests could follow as detectives establish the full circumstances of the case. The alleged assault of another person is also part of the investigation.
