A suspect has been arrested after a fatal shooting incident in Eldorado Park, located south of Johannesburg. The shooting resulted in the random killing of one person and the injury of another.
According to reports from the authorities, the tragic event unfolded as a group of individuals were gathered next to a local tuckshop when the assailant began firing indiscriminately in their direction.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo, provided details of the incident, stating that the perpetrator is anticipated to make an appearance before the Lenasia Magistrate’s Court shortly.

Masondo confirmed, “One person was certified dead at the scene, while another individual sustained gunshot wounds and was promptly transported to a local medical care centre for treatment.
“Following the report of the incident at the Eldorado Park police station, a swift manhunt was initiated, leading to the apprehension of the suspect within a few hours.”
