The death toll in the Nelson Mandela Bay floods in the Eastern Cape has unfortunately risen to seven. The heavy rains that began on Saturday night have led to significant destruction, damaging properties and displacing thousands.

According to Henry Landsdown, the circumstances surrounding the deaths varied.
“Some of the people were caught up with the flood situation, others drowned in their backyards, so there were various circumstances, but that is the situation,” Landsdown stated.

Emergency services are working tirelessly to provide relief and support to those affected by the Nelson Mandela bay floods.
