When it comes to the dynamic duo of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, there is always some scepticism about their friendship and working relationship.

However, these two music giants continue to prove their enemies wrong as they join forces as the Scorpion Kings. With their inseparable bond, they are now taking their talents to the United States for an epic tour.

Before embarking on their US tour, Maphorisa and Kabza hosted a special mix party at the scenic rooftop of Sony Music Group, their distribution company.

The event was a sneak peek into what fans can expect at the international celebration. Supported by artists X-Duppy and Mlindo the Vocalist, the mix party was a show of the incredible talent and energy that the Scorpion Kings bring to the table.

Notably present at the event was Maphorisa’s partner, Thuli Phongolo, showing the unwavering support that these artists have for each other. It’s clear that their bond extends beyond the music they create together.

This July, Central Park in the heart of the Big Apple will transform into a vibrant epicentre of Amapiano music and culture as it hosts Themba Sekowe and Kabelo Motha, better known as DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.

This unprecedented celebration of the dynamic South African music genre promises to be the biggest Amapiano event New York City has ever seen.

For the first time, Central Park will host an Amapiano event, courtesy of these Mzansi stars. This marks a significant moment for South African music on the global stage.

When asked about the upcoming event, Maphorisa expressed his excitement, saying, “We are excited about and prepared to make history. We have been putting in a lot of work, and now we are making big moves only. The hard work is paying off.”

Despite the success and recognition they have achieved, Maphorisa and Kabza remain unfazed by the haters. They have no time for social media hate and criticism. Their focus is on making moves and taking the music industry by storm.

It’s no surprise that these two music maestros are winning in the industry. Kabza De Small recently made waves at the Metro FM Awards, where he scooped four awards out of five nominations.

His hit song “Imithandazo” won Best Produced Album, Best Collaboration, Song of the Year, and Best Amapiano Song. This recognition shows his talent and the impact he has made on the Amapiano genre.

But the success doesn’t stop there. Kabza and music conductor Ofentse Pitse are set to collaborate with a symphonic orchestra at the sold-out Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg.

The Red Bull Symphonic will showcase the fusion of Kabza’s modern style with classical music, creating a unique and groundbreaking experience.

When asked about this collaboration, Kabza stated, “We are changing the game and what people thought they knew about Amapiano. We are always trying to do things differently; we are working hard.”
