Khosi Twala Confirms Receiving Cash Prize For Winning BBTitans Show Amid None Payment Backlash.

Khosi Twala, the winner of the Big Brother Titans reality show in 2023, has spoken out about receiving her US$100,000 (R1.8m) cash prize.

Amidst claims from some former contestants, including Blessing “Nana” Basheru, Justin Peters, and BBNaija winner Phyna, that they have not been paid their prizes, Khosi set the record straight.

In response to the claims, Nana wrote, “I’m gonna mention some brand names by tomorrow because they need to pay up.

“Haba, 1 year after the show and you guys haven’t paid, is it fair?” Justin also chimed in, saying, “Imagine sponsoring new shows when you still owe people money. Scammers will stay scamming.”

However, Khosi Twala reassured her concerned fans by sharing a screenshot of the payment into her bank account.

She stated, “When I woke up this morning, I saw there was a back and forth about having received my money and all of that. When I didn’t receive my money, I was very outspoken about it, so I think it’s also fair that I make it clear.”

Khosi confirmed that she did receive her money, and it was within the specified time frame outlined in the contract. She explained, “I received it two months after the show, which according to the contract is just within time.

“When you sign a contract to go into the house, they specify that you get your money one to three months after the show, so it was well within the time frame that I had signed for.”

While Khosi acknowledged that she cannot speak for others who claim they have not received their money, she emphasized that she received her prize almost a year ago.

The claims made by Nana, Justin, and Phyna have caused a stir among fans and followers of the reality show. The allegations of unpaid prizes have raised concerns about the credibility of the organizers and their commitment to fulfilling their financial obligations.

It is not uncommon for reality show winners to face delays in receiving their cash prizes. However, the timing and transparency of these payments can significantly impact the reputation of the show and its organizers.

While Khosi’s confirmation of receiving her prize may provide some reassurance to her fans, it does little to address the concerns raised by other contestants.

The fact that some winners are still waiting for their prizes a year after the show raises questions about the financial management and integrity of the organizers.
