Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has called on the residents of Casteel in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, to come out in large numbers and vote for the party.
The EFF has taken its campaign to the rural villages of Bushbuckridge, which is traditionally an African National Congress (ANC) stronghold.
Malema highlighted the challenges faced by the communities in Bushbuckridge, including the lack of clean running water and proper roads. He promised the people that an EFF government would prioritize the construction of proper houses for them.

Julius Malema emphasized the importance of the upcoming election in Bushbuckridge, stating that it presents an opportunity for residents to remove the ANC-led government.
He criticized the ANC for neglecting the basic needs of the community, particularly in terms of housing. Malema expressed his frustration at the fact that white households have access to flushing toilets, while many black households do not.
He urged the community to show their power and demand change by voting for the EFF on the 29th of May.
“And we are going to build you proper houses not just houses, no single white person who does not have flushing toilets but they would never do that to white people, how can they do that to us.
“We will show them who we are on the 29th of May because how can you go to a voting station without a flushing toilet and vote for them, same people who made you not have a flushing toilet for thirty years,” Malema said.
The EFF leader’s promise of proper housing resonates with the struggles faced by the people of Bushbuckridge.
Access to decent housing is a fundamental human right, and the lack thereof has a significant impact on the overall well-being and quality of life of individuals and communities.
By addressing this issue, Malema aims to provide hope and a better future for the residents of Bushbuckridge.
