The trial of Tiffany Meek, who is accused of murdering her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee Meek, is set to continue on Friday in the Johannesburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge.
Prosecutors are expected to present testimony from the scholar transport driver who collected Jayden-Lee from school on the day he was later reported missing.
Meek faces multiple charges, including murder and defeating the ends of justice in connection with her son’s death.
Scholar Transport Driver Expected To Take The Stand
The anticipated witness is expected to provide evidence relating to Jayden-Lee’s movements on the day he disappeared.
The state continues to build its case as proceedings enter another phase of testimony, following evidence presented by police officials involved in the investigation.
Police Officer Completes Testimony In Tiffany Meek Murder Trial
Police Constable Mohammed Saib concluded his evidence on Thursday, detailing the steps he and fellow officers took after the matter was reported.
During his testimony, Saib told the court that investigators interviewed the scholar transport driver as part of their enquiries.

“When you approached Mr Khumalo, you did not have any search warrant is that correct? No we did not have.. you just asked may we interview you…..He was very welcoming and had no objection to that……The accused person indicated that she was dissatisfied and wanted you to ask more questions to Mr Khumalo is that correct?……That’s correct but I was not the one asking questions, it was sergeant Nukeri.”
The trial is expected to continue on Friday with further witness testimony.
