Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the hijacking and murder of Luke Fleurs, a player for Kaizer Chiefs. The suspects appeared at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Friday, where they were remanded in custody.

The six men, Ndumiso Moswane, Fernando Siva, Nhlakanipho Dlamini, Franky Xaba, Maredi Mphahlele, and Thembinkosi Hlomikhawu, have been charged with murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and defeating the ends of justice.

During their court appearance, it was announced that the suspects would apply for bail next Friday. All six have chosen to be represented by legal aid lawyers.
