Responding to her plea, the neighbour arrived at the residence only to find the door slightly open. Upon entering, they were confronted with the devastating sight of the man hanging from a rope tied to a rafter.

The neighbour wasted no time in alerting the community. The community members rushed to the scene, where they cut the rope and placed the man on the floor in an attempt to revive him.

Despite their concerted efforts, the situation was dire. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) officers arrived at approximately 8:26 am, but sadly, they could only confirm the man’s death at the scene.

The circumstances leading to this tragic suicide are shrouded in uncertainty and are currently under investigation. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning, as they grapple with the loss and the unanswered questions surrounding the man’s final moments.
