Ballito construction site collapse has left three construction workers dead and two others are still missing and presumed dead after an embankment collapsed on Saturday.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning, sending shockwaves through the community.
Meyrick said that while rescue personnel were digging through the landslide there was a small secondary collapse, bringing rescue operations to a halt.

“The scene is unsafe, so the rescue operations have been called off to allow safety systems to be put in place to protect rescuers,” she said.
Local authorities are launching an investigation into the cause of the collapse. Preliminary reports suggest that the embankment failure may have resulted from structural weaknesses or soil instability, another opinionist told The Times Post.
The construction company responsible for the site is cooperating with authorities during the inquiry.
