Inkabi Zezwe, the dynamic duo consisting of Big Zulu and Sjava, is set to kick off the year with a heartwarming act of generosity. Teaming up with the Hollywood Foundation, they will be donating 1300 pairs of school shoes to students in their hometown of Bergville, KZN.

The initiative, scheduled for February, aims to make a meaningful impact on the lives of these young learners. It comes hot on the heels of the duo’s successful documentary series, ‘Inkabi Zezwe: The Making of Ukhamba’, which premiered on SABC1 last November.

The chosen recipients of this act of kindness are Obonjanjeni and Hambrook primary schools, both of which hold a special place in the hearts of Sjava and Big Zulu, as they are their former schools.

By giving back to their alma mater, the duo hopes to inspire and uplift the next generation of students.

But they are not the only ones spreading joy through the gift of footwear. DJ Shimza, known for his annual school shoe donations, has also made a difference in the lives of students.

Sharing heartwarming photos, he announced, “For the community by the community! We did it! Over 1000 Hopeful Soles ready for the 2024 school year.”

It’s heartwarming to see artists like Inkabi Zezwe and DJ Shimza using their platforms to make a positive impact in their communities. By providing school shoes, they are not only putting smiles on the faces of these students but also empowering them to walk confidently towards a brighter future.

Inkabi Zezwe and DJ Shimza prove that acts of kindness, no matter how small, can have a big impact. Let’s hope their inspiring actions inspire others to spread love and positivity in their communities as well.
