Big Zulu, born Siyabonga Nene, has recently confirmed that he is set to release another diss track titled ‘200 Bars’.

This announcement has generated considerable excitement within the hip-hop community, especially given the significant impact of his previous diss track, ‘100 Bars’, released two years ago.

‘100 Bars’ not only stirred intense debates but also spurred a series of retaliatory diss tracks from various artists. Based on this history, ‘200 Bars’ is anticipated to continue in the same provocative and competitive spirit.

In a recent interview, Big Zulu emphasized the importance of diss tracks in the hip-hop genre. According to him, these musical confrontations are instrumental in keeping the competitive essence of hip-hop alive.

By challenging fellow artists, diss tracks encourage creativity, sharpen lyrical skills, and maintain the dynamic energy that characterizes the genre. However, Big Zulu also acknowledged that diss tracks could have unintended consequences.

He noted that some artists tend to take these lyrical battles very personally, leading to real-life animosities that can escalate beyond the music scene.

“Soon I’ll be dropping a 200 bars single and we do need beef, it’s just that some artists take things very personal when they’re in a beef.”

“Two years back I started a beef, [in] which I never used vulgar words on my song, but in retaliation, some artists decided to insult me and my mother and when we meet they expect me to understand or be cool with the situation. You insult my mother it’s no longer a beef,” he said.

As for ‘200 Bars’, fans are expecting a track that not only matches but potentially surpasses the intensity and lyrical prowess of ‘100 Bars’.

Given Big Zulu’s reputation for hard-hitting verses and compelling delivery, ‘200 Bars’ is likely to be a powerful addition to his discography.

The hip-hop community is buzzing with speculation about who might be the targets of his sharp lyrics this time around. The anticipation is palpable, as listeners brace themselves for what promises to be another impactful release from Big Zulu.
