A 32-year-old man from Amahlongwa, near Umkomaas, is expected to appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday in connection with the alleged rape and murder of his six-year-old daughter.
Sihle Ntshiza faces charges of rape and murder following the death of Snehlihle Khathi, who reportedly succumbed to injuries.
The accused remains behind bars after abandoning his bail application during a previous court appearance.

In an earlier interview with SABC News, the child’s mother, Sinenhlanhla Khathi, said she blamed herself for allowing her daughter to live with her father.

The annual campaign focuses on strengthening efforts to combat statutory rape and child abuse, while encouraging greater protection for children across the country.
