Mkhwebane’s appointment as an MP not only allows her to continue her public service but also gives her the opportunity to conduct oversight, which is a constitutional responsibility.

Mkhwebane emphasized her commitment to protecting the public and ensuring the implementation of the EFF’s seven cardinal pillars.
These pillars, outlined in the party’s constitution, include land expropriation without compensation, nationalization of key industries, and free quality education.
During a media briefing in Kwaggafontein in Mpumalanga earlier this week, Mkhwebane pledged to uphold the aims, objectives, and radical policies of the EFF. She stated, “I am fighter Busisiwe Mkhwebane.
I will abide by the aims, objectives, and radical policies of the Economic Freedom Fighters as set out in the constitution of the EFF. I voluntarily joined the EFF without any motive of personal or material benefit. I understand that I am not entitled to any position or deployment.”
