According to reports, the accident occurred on the Kanyamazane Road, just after 7 am. The spokesperson for Emer-G-Med, Martin Jeffrey, described the scene as ‘chaotic’ upon the arrival of paramedics.

The collision involved three vehicles: a light motor vehicle, a light delivery vehicle, a school bus, and an articulated truck. Although it remains unclear who was at fault, it is evident that the school bus and the light delivery vehicle were primarily involved in the head-on collision.

The Mpumalanga tragic accident led to the death of two adults and one school pupil, who were declared deceased on the scene. Jeffrey noted that ‘there were injured schoolchildren all over’ and additional medical resources had to be called in.
