Parts of Johannesburg have been dealt another blow as a burst water pipe has left residents without water once again. The areas affected by this unfortunate incident include Linden, Cresta, and President Park.
Joburg Water has already started the repairs in the early hours of Monday morning, and the work is expected to be completed by Tuesday.
To repair the pipe, Joburg Water has to isolate the system, which unfortunately means that residents will have to endure dry taps until the repairs are finished. However, Joburg Water has put contingency measures in place to assist the affected areas during this time.

It is worth noting that these areas have already experienced significant water interruptions over the past month.
The cause of the burst pipe is believed to be lightning striking the Eikenhof pump station, which has impacted the water supply. Joburg Water is committed to restoring the water supply to the affected areas as quickly as possible.
This latest incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Joburg residents in ensuring a consistent and reliable water supply.
It serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining and investing in infrastructure to prevent such disruptions in the future.
