The family of Enoch Ndou, who was convicted for the brutal murder of seven relatives, has expressed relief following the High Court’s ruling in Thohoyandou, Limpopo. After years of waiting, the court delivered its verdict, finding Ndou guilty of killing his family members.
This ruling, which took place at the Waterval Magistrate’s Court outside Louis Trichardt, marks a significant step toward closure for the grieving family. Ndou’s actions on that fateful Christmas Day, four years ago, have haunted them ever since.
A Christmas Tragedy: The Horrific Crime
The horrific incident occurred in the Jimmy Jones village near Malamulele, where Enoch Ndou killed seven of his family members on Christmas Day. The murders shocked the community and the nation, leaving the family shattered and searching for answers.
For years, the legal process has dragged on, with the family enduring multiple court appearances as they sought justice for the lives lost in this unimaginable tragedy.
Family’s Relief After Prolonged Legal Battle
Speaking on behalf of the family, spokesperson Fhatuwani Ndou shared a sense of relief and closure after the long legal battle. “We are pleased as the family that finally the court is coming to a close,” said Fhatuwani.
“We have been in and out of courts for far too many times – three, four years – to hear that judgement is being delivered today. It kind of gives us closure that at least it’s coming to an end.”
