In a chilling turn of events, convicted serial killer Rosemary Ndlovu was back in court yesterday, facing new charges of attempted murder.

Ndlovu, who had previously been sentenced to six life sentences for multiple murders, was accompanied by her co-accused, Nomsa Mudau. Both former policewomen allegedly conspired to kill Mudau’s ex-husband, Justice.

During the court proceedings, Rosemary Ndlovu complained about suffering from kidney failure. The presiding magistrate, upon inquiring about her health, advised her to drink more water.

This light-hearted yet firm advice came as Ndlovu showed a bit of attitude while responding to the magistrate’s questions.

One of the key moments during the proceedings was the testimony of Jabulani Mtshali. Mtshali revealed that he was allegedly hired by Ndlovu and Mudau to kill Justice for an insurance payout.

Although he had agreed to commit the murder, Mtshali testified that he never intended to go through with it. He was promised a sum of R75,000 for the hit but was only given R15,000 upfront.

Rosemary Ndlovu, infamous for her gruesome crimes, was sentenced to six life sentences in 2021. She was convicted for the murders of five relatives and her lover, all for whom she had taken out funeral or life insurance policies.

Her arrest came after hitmen she hired to kill her sister and her five children tipped off the police.
