In a surprising turn of events, Sonia Booth has emerged victorious in her defamation case against Bongani Mthombeni-Moller, the alleged girlfriend of Booth’s ex-husband, Matthew Booth.
The case revolved around accusations of an adulterous affair between Matthew and Bongani, which both parties vehemently denied. Sonia, a model and public figure, took it upon herself to expose her ex-husband’s alleged infidelity.
However, things took a legal turn when Mthombeni-Moller demanded an apology for the accusations made against her. The court, however, dismissed the case and ordered Mthombeni-Moller to pay Booth’s substantial legal fees, amounting to over R75k.

Despite the court’s ruling, Mthombeni-Moller has decided to dispute the taxation and has requested a hearing, which is scheduled for May.
This ongoing legal battle has clearly taken its toll on Sonia, who expressed her frustration, stating that lawsuits are not for those with “little purses.”
In a bold social media post, she referred to Mthombeni-Moller as “nothing but air” and accused her of having “zero substance and no money for lawsuits.”
Meanwhile, Matthew and Mthombeni-Moller, who previously denied the alleged affair, have now made their relationship official.
They have been spotted together in various cozy situations, traveling together, and even attending events as a couple. Most recently, the two were seen attending a friend’s wedding over the weekend.
While the legal drama continues, Sonia Booth can at least take solace in the fact that she has emerged victorious in this defamation case. As for Matthew and Mthombeni-Moller, only time will tell what lies ahead for their controversial relationship.
