In other Skeem Saam news, veteran actress Harriet Manamela, who portrays the character Meikie Maputla, recently faced health challenges.
Due to an extended sick leave, she was temporarily replaced by Florence Masebe. Concerns about Manamela’s well-being prompted speculation among fans.
However, Manamela put those concerns to rest by revealing that she had undergone hip replacement surgery earlier in the year. She expressed gratitude to her supporters, saying, “I had a hip replacement surgery beginning of the year, hence I was given a break from shooting.
“Thank you to everyone for wishing me well, even though there was no clear explanation for my absence on screen. Your support humbles my heart, and I appreciate it immensely.”
Manamela also acknowledged Florence Masebe for stepping in during her absence. As production takes a shooting break, the actress looks forward to spending quality time with loved ones and catching up with colleagues.
