Itumeleng Khune expressed his deep gratitude on social media, stating, “My birthday was well spent,” and thanked his family for their efforts in making the day special.

As Khune’s contract as a player with Kaizer Chiefs has come to an end, there is speculation about his next steps. Although no official announcement has been made, it’s expected that Khune will join the Kaizer Chiefs technical team.
Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. expressed his hopes for Khune to pass on his extensive experience to the younger players, saying, “It is remarkable that Itu, at the age of 36, has been with Chiefs for over 20 years.
It speaks to his love for the game, dedication, hard work, and commitment because very few achieve this feat. We hope that he gives it his all in this final season and shares his valuable experience with the younger players in the team.”
