The case involving convicted former police officer Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu and her co-accused Nomsa Mudau has been postponed to 20 May 2026.

The matter was before the Kempton Park Regional Court on Thursday, where both women are facing charges linked to an alleged conspiracy to murder Mudau’s former husband, Justice Mudau.

The postponement will allow the presiding judge time to consider the evidence and arguments presented by the prosecution and defence before delivering judgment.

Alleged Plot To Kill Justice Mudau

Justice previously told the court that a hitman approached him and claimed he had been paid to carry out the murder.

Instead of following through with the alleged plan, the hitman warned Justice about the threat to his life.

Nomsa Mudau remains out on bail while awaiting the outcome of the case.

Rosemary Ndlovu Serving Multiple Life Sentences

Ndlovu is currently serving six concurrent life sentences, along with an additional 125 years, at Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre.

In 2021, she was convicted of murdering six relatives to claim funeral and life insurance payouts.

She also remains in custody while facing further charges related to an alleged conspiracy to kill the police officer who investigated her.

The current matter is part of the broader investigation that uncovered a series of killings connected to insurance benefits.

Speaking outside court, Justice said he is eager for the case to be finalised.

“The problem is that I don’t trust the situation that I am in. Anything can still happen to me. She [Mudau] belongs in jail and now that she is outside, I am always anxious and looking over my shoulder. It is not a comfortable space that I am in.”
