Reflecting on the challenges, Mseleku acknowledges that the path to a successful polygamous family is not without obstacles. He emphasizes two key secrets to maintaining a healthy, functional polygamous family:
- Choose Wisely: Marry someone who shares your vision and supports you every step of the way. Mseleku credits his wives, particularly INdlovukazi MaCele and INdlunkulu MaKhumalo, for their roles in leading and supporting the family’s vision.
- Honesty Matters: As the head of the household, Mseleku believes in transparency. Honesty fosters trust and understanding among wives, ensuring a peaceful coexistence.
In his words, “What I started at the age of 23 years as a young man seemed to be impossible but look we are here still celebrating love. INdlovukazi MaMkhulu MaCele, INdlunkulu Shibase MaYeni, INdlunkulu MaK MaKhumalo and INdlunkulu Nombela MaNgwabe we might not celebrate Valentine but we are indeed celebrating love.”
Despite the challenges, Mseleku celebrates love. On Valentine’s Day, he expressed his appreciation for his four wives, emphasizing that their bond transcends romantic holidays. The family’s unity and commitment have carried them through two decades, a testament to their enduring love.
Mseleku’s reality show, “Uthando Ne’sthembu,” has reached its seventh season. Beyond entertainment, it forms part of the family’s business ventures. However, the true achievement lies in their enduring companionship.
Sharing his appreciation he said, “We are humbled to have reached season 7 on television which form part of our business ventures but most importantly we have been together for over 20 years. That alone is a great achievement.”
